I've got an HK 3380 receiver and use it exclusively for music (60% vinyl, 40% cd). I currently have a pair of PSB Alpha's, but have had a set of AE Aegis EVO One's in my house for a couple of days and they seem, to me, to have more depth, presence, and detail. Both of these speakers are within about $100 of each other, so it wouldn't be a huge cost investment to switch, but my question is would it be a worthwhile switch to make right now, or should I hang onto the PSB's and wait til I can afford to make a big upgrade? |

The difference is there(I would go with the AE Evo One), but as u probably reasoned out, if u wanna upgrade, save up to go for more significant setups like the Quad 12L or 11L. For the same dough now, u might wanna try Monitor Audio's Bronze 2(award winner). |
