I have recently bought Philips FWV230 audio system but I am unable to play my MP3 CD's on it though it supports MP3 playback. I am able to play them on lower end models from Philips. The service centre person said that the MP3 format may not be supported by this particular model.
On doing a google search I havent come across any specs of any auido MP3 player which says that only certain Mp3 formats are supported.
Can anyone help me out on this?
Thanks

mp3 is standardized. If the player says it plays mp3, it better play mp3s. Check the properties of your recording if it is indeed mp3 and not .wma, .oma, etc.
