Hi,

I just have a cheaper 2 channel stereo system (Klipsch RF 10 and Yamaha receiver). Up until this point I have been using optical cables or digital coax. I have recently been looking into integrated amps for 2 channel systems and a lot of them just have rca outputs on the back. What are the fancy kind of cables most people use here. Are they RCA cables? Could someone give me a rundown of the next step when it comes to amps, pre amps, etc and how you wire them? I am lost lol.

I've found you don't have to spend a lot of money on cables to get good results.

The RCA cables between components are usually referred to as "interconnects". Blue Jeans cables makes really good interconnects for reasonable products.
