Hi,

These days, I noticed that when my speakers in playing and with my ears put every close to the speaker driver (about 5 inch), I can hear some kind of backgroud noise. When I stopped or paused the cd player, the noise disapeared. For some CD discs, the noise is a little obvious and for other CD discs, it is more less.

So my question is, where the noise come from? Is that normal?

My speaker is B&W CM-1.

Thank you very much.

.

It's circuit noise made more obvious by your speakers. Unless you change components out, what you are hearing is, in all likelyhood, normal.

.

What you are hearing is probably as normal as the set up will be. All electronic components make some amount of noise. Certain speakers make that noise more or less obvious.
