Hi,

I have an Ariston Icon TT and an Audio Technica AT-PL50. The Ariston only plays at the 33 speed and the Audio Technica has a buzzing sound when I plug it into speakers. Is it possible to fix either of these problems myself?

Thanks very much,

Matt

Matt, I have no idea about the Ariston (a quick google indicates that these TTs can be problematic), but you may wish to check that you've attached the ground wire from the Audio Technica to either your phono pre-amp (if you're using one) or the ground connector on your amplifier. If your Audio Technica is grounded, then there's nothing else I can think of. If you post back with some more details about your set-up (what cartridges you're using, what steps you've already taken to fix these problems, etc.), then I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction.
