New to the forum. I'm looking for compact bookshelf speakers to go over cabinets in an average sized kitchen. I have had Polk Audio speakers in the past and was satisfied. I'm looking to spend around $200. 95% of the time the volume will be background or just above background sound. Lots of acoustic music (piano and guitar). There will be no sub.

Any recommendations? I'm reading good things on the Athena AS B1.2 speakers, but I'm open to other suggestions and sources. Thanks.

I've used these in my kitchen setup before. They're very small, but put out a good amount of sound:

I've recently moved my Atom v5's into the kitchen instead. They're a fair bit bigger.
