I have a Dell laptop with Xp and recently tried to transter all my music to an enternal hard drive to free up space on my computer. While all the music has transferred and is now accessible and playable through iTunes (from it's new location on the external drive) when I connected my ipod it registered briefly, blanked itself, and now when I connect it through the usb adaptor hub (only one usb port on laptop) it doesn't appear in iTunes at all, or anywhere else. Very frustrated. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?
