I need to know if there will be any minidisc decks available cause sony wanted to discontinue the format which isn't right. Question, Why is Sony discontinued the format? Was it because of the failed format of ATRAC? Believe me most of my recorded tracks are not protected atrac and also when a protected track is on the disc the recorder will not delete it off the disc unless you move the track back into the PC. That was something that really bugged me about NET-MD that I did not enjoy using. Also another thing that bugs me about NET-MD you couldn't make more than 3 discs. So if I lost 2 copies and wanted to make a new replacement copy the 3rd disc would the last generation copy.
Hi MD is kind of expensive, it was so expensive that I couldn't afford to get a HiMD recorder or deck. The discs were expensive too.
