What's a good home theater speaker for around $200? I have found the Infinity TSS 3-In-1 got very good reviews: http://hometheater.about.com/od/loudspeakerreview1/gr/infinitytssshor.htm And I have found a low price on it with a deal for $180: http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?deal_id=104923&ru=282 Is that a good choice? |

imho... not a good choice. too much of a rolloff in the lower midrange, and no upper bass response. this would be a much better package for the price, if you can have tower speakers, and place them properly. http://www.fluance.com/fluan5speaks.html |

I listened to the Hsu Research bookshelves while up in OC buying one of there subs. Good sound, and while I only listened for about 5 minutes, they were very nice. Good dynamics, no stridency or boom and a very good match for the company sub. If you live in California, anywhere near OC, you may want to give them a listen. The deal when I was there was 10% for cash, which not only saves you shipping, but more than pays your sales tax! |

I'm with Gavin. I have Fluance speakers for the kids 5.1 system. |
