Rescued this from the bin this morning because I thought it looked half decent but I can't find ANYTHING about it on the internet. http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm209/edinbud/Chinon_audio_reflex1.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm209/edinbud/Chinon_audio_reflex2.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm209/edinbud/Chinon_audio_reflex3.jpg Anyone know anything about it? Better off in landfill?! Thanks |

. It looks like a rebadged Pioneer. Look up a Pioneer PL-12D. The whole Pioneer line looked very similar at that point and features set the models apart. Is this a semi- or fully automatic table? And to answer your question, if it is a rebadged Pioneer, it is at the bottom of what would be considered acceptable for its time period. A Thorens, Dual, BIC or Philips table would have easily outperformerd it. A manual AR table would have been much better for about the same amount of cash. The PL-12D sold for about $69 in 1975 and got discounted lower than that on a frequent basis. That arm won't take much in the way of cartridges. . |
