Hi folks, long time no seen

I am quite horrified by the fact that haven't seen any intention by Sony to maintain SACD capability in their Blueray launch. Neither format nor players are taking into account the hi-rez collections we built up during the all these years. How on earth can they (Sony) take such a decision? Are we totally defenseless against this kind of company strategies?

Cheers

Arnold,

Are we totally defenseless against this kind of company strategies?

It's called planned obsolescence.

They've been doing it for decades.

Keep your disc collection. Keep your player. By about 2020 you'll having a collection sounding just as good as anything in the format younger people will then be buying, believing that 2008 was ancient history, and people could not hear properly in those days.

You will have become an Old Dog.

And you will be welcome!

John
