I have an extra turntable here I would like to get working without investing any money. When I move the arm over the platter, it should automatically start spinning. I hear a faint click, but it doesn't spin.
If I start it spinning by hand THEN move the arm over, it will keep spinning and functioning normally after 10 to 15 tries.
But then when the record is done, it auto-returns and stops spinning. Then I'm messing with it again to get it to spin!
I lift the mat and see that the belt is on perfectly. Has anyone encountered this before?
