I have a Pioneer DV-563A (universal player) & a Philips 963SA (Upsampling/SACD). I use the Philips for SACD/CD (2-channel) and the Pioneer for SACD/DVD-A (Multichannel). The Pioneer is supposedly weak on DVD-Audio - the Perfect Vision magazine review and others. Want to purchase JVC XA-SA600BK CD/DVD-A/V player - good review for CD/DVD-A playback in the Absolute Sound magazine. Found it on sale for $99. Is it worth it?

since you allready have the pioneer i would not
buy another cheap player.

if your going to buy another player i would save
some cash and then move up in quality to an elite
or denon or marantz.

i have the 563a and it's fine for it's price range.
then i have the denon 2200 for the better quality
listening.
