so the songs on my ipod take up a lot more space than they should. my sis and i have the exact same ipod: 300 songs on hers filled 2gb, but only 90 songs on mine filled 2gb. we both have average length songs (3-5 minutes each). ive also tried restoring the ipod to its factory settings without luck. most of my songs came from CDs. any ideas?

The space it takes up depends on the compression you used. If you are using 320Kbps or lossless format, your music will be higher quality but will take up more space.

Check how you rip songs from your CDs...what rate and format.
