I have had problems for a long time w/ getting it to
a. transfer files w/o the sd card being write protected.
b. 50% of the time or more it will only play for about 5 seconds with a new battery and then turn off
c. I did drop it in some water once and tried to dry it, but I guess it messed up the hard drive.
It was after that, the SD card was working part of the time. I have checked and it's not locked or anything. HELP PLEASE!!!1

DUH!

Water and electronics do not mix. Replace your player with a new one.

If your issue is with the SD card being write protected, did you check the write protect tab?

And...replace the player.
