help im having trouble getting the vid playback to display on my tv. thr audio on screen display workd fine but when i shut off the osd i get nothing

i discovered the problem, the 6th gen. ipod classic 80 and 160 gb. will only play audio thru the onkyo dock.and the on sceen display that gos with it. there are 2 or 3 brands that will display video and photos on your tv. i am returning the onkyo dock and i am exchanging it plus 55 dollars for a model that will.( DLO home dock deluxe 150.00 online.
