In reading the spec's on cd players I often see a player is capable of playing cd-r/rw. Does that mean it can play mp3 files? |

I would be surprised if a player could not, RH. But cd-r and mp3 are not mutually inclusive. |

An example, the Cambridge Audio 640c and Nad c542 both say cdr but neither specifically say mp3. Thanks |

I have the NAD C542 and it does not support MP3 but will play back regular WAV files that have been burned onto a CD-R. The new NAD CD player - I think it is C515BEE will play MP3. |
