I just purchased my first TT (a rega planar 2) on ebay. On setup I found that the sub platter is sitting lower than the belt drive. Consequently the glass platter is resting on the belt drive. This doesn't seem right to me. Can someone please tell me more about this? |

. Check for a small ball bearing in the bottom of the table's main bearing shaft. Quite often this can get lost is shipping or set up. |

Thankyou mate, you are right, I cannot see the small ball bearing! So am I able to get this ball bearing and put it in myself, or should I have someone who knows what they are doing look at it? |

You can get a new bearing from rega or their dealers. Ensure you use the correct oil. I seem to remember Rega mention which type and how much to use on their website. |
