I know this is a very controversial subject, but I have to ask. I'm want to buy a half decent set of interconnects for my new Cambridge Audio 640C. I've seen on ebay both Audioquest Sidewinders and Kimber Kable PBJ up for auction at reasonable prices.

Which ones would you guys recommend? Are these two even in the same league? I get the impression the Kimber is a little better (based solely on price...).

I like the Kimber Timbre a lot better than the PBJ which sounds a bit rolled off at both ends. Also the Analysis Plus Oval One is a good budget interconnect.

Thanks for the tip Art. I'll pass on the PBJ (does that stand for "peanut butter & jelly?")

I own a pair of King Cobras. They're a very good interconnect. I don't know your system to speculate about synergy.

What are you running for speaker cables and how long are they?

I too used the King Cobra interconnects until I parted with my Adcom gear in favor of an all Naim setup.

Stu, I'm using generic 12 gauge speaker cable from Home Depot. The runs are fairly short - my furthest speaker from my amp is maybe 8 feet, and I tried to keep the run lengths identical for both speakers.
