I'm experimenting with the Totems sitting on 1/2" marble tiles in a carpeted room. I removed the spikes from the base of the speakers and put tiny rubber bumpers in place of the spikes. Aside from looking more exotic, I think they sound a little better. Base seems a little tighter and the over all sound is cleaner. Am I just imagining this or does this reduce vibrations and help clean up the audio. I also have them mass loaded, but that was done earlier. Any thoughts on this? |

. "Base seems a little tighter and the over all sound is cleaner." Hey! Sounds like you've made it to second base. |

Steve, Anything you change, anything, can have an impact on your sound. Sometimes it seems better, sometimes it seems worse, sometimes it seems.......... changed. Lots of ways to tweak and experiment. That is one of the joys of this passion of ours. |
