Maybe they should round up the thousands and thousands of Hanna Montana fans. That seems to be the PR they are going for.

Even software companies allow you to copy programs onto a second computer you own (mostly).

They create the technology now go sue people for using it?

There is something wrong at the heart of this. There is a market as the article states for VCRs and DVRs so what are CDRs and DVD writers supposed to be for?

What about all of the web sites out there that carry the lyrics or guitar tabs?

Digitally encrypt something if you are that nauseous of someone using it in a manner that the technology enables them to.

Apple tells you to back up your ipod files. Why can't I create a back up of a music CD in case of loss or damage?

Where was the clamor when we were making cassettes out of albums? This is no different. They already allowed this, the recording industry set the precedent by complacency back in the cassette era.

I obviously do not have any opinion on this subject.
