I picked up a used Accurus LS 11 Preamp from a local High End electronics store. I also purchased a new Speco Auto forming 6 Volume Control which will handle 150 watts per channel max.

I have 6 pairs of ceiling mounted 35 watt speakers.

I was looking at a 45 watt per channel like new Niles Amp but could not find any reviews on it, I could pick this up for around $200 it lists new for $400.
I see plenty of used NAD 2200's out there for around $250 but I think the power on the 2200 is too much for what I am trying to do. Many of these NAD's are 20 plus years old and that also scares me.

I realize that I am going to lose some of the power when using the Auto forming speaker controls so I don't want to be under powered-but over powering is also a concern on my low wattage speakers

Any suggestions for a used amp $150-$250 price range? I know this is not a lot to work with but my total budget is 1 k on this system.
