I have had a Slim Devices ""SqueezeBox" for about six months now. It is not a complete radio, but a Wi-Fi tuner that plugs into my stereo reciever. By and large I am pleased with it. I love the variety of stations available - thousands.
But it does display mysterious and erratic behavior sometimes. Slow or no response to input from its remote controller. Some stations play only for a limited amount of time. Unit turns itself on or off. Whether this behavior is a function of the home wireless network or the unit itself, I don't know. Just too many variables. And some stations play indefinetly.
It is also capable of connecting to your computer and play audio stored there, but I have not been able to accomplish that. |
