Old technology

But no doubt the TRW still has a lot of power. Pair that with a good LLT and you're good.

Which is old technology? The rotary subwoofer? I remember reading about that a few years ago. I have a nice crawlspace in the basement where that would fit perfectly.

Gentlemen, I believe I have just conceived the perfect subwoofer for Andre.

The project will require 144 of Bose's excellent 2.5" cone drivers, 500000 watts of amplification, and a columnar sealed box. I forsee a bipolar configuration to help minimize box resonance. In addition, the fins on the heat sinks of the amplifier will be shaped like shark fins, because that would be cool.

Here is a schematic.

And yes, that is a cherry finish.

Hmmmm. Do you have downward firing model too? Or would you just lay it facedown?

No downfiring models yet, although one is in development. However, instead of front/rear firing, I could convert this speaker into a side firing model for a nominal fee.

I'm also developing a subwoofer that utilizes an 18" long throw driver coupled to 32 2.5" paper cone passive radiators.

And this is my flagship tower speaker. It utilizes a 1" plutonium dome driver in a transmission line box.

I suspect people will have a new meaning of "radiant highs" after listening to this speaker. And thanks to the transmission line and generous cabinet dimensions, I didn't have to skimp on bass either. Rated response is down to 20Hz in room. I will warn though that this speaker requires a very robust amplifier to reach its potential.

Slow day at the office Stephen?

I like the idea of a side-firing sub. Who would have thunk?

Little bit. Of course my work day is thankfully over now. Time to enjoy the weekend!
