My Classe DAC-1 stopped working, so I cracked the case for a look. The cap array is intact, except for the primary feed, via a discrete CR. The path is blackened between the CR and the first cap, which seems to have blown it's azz. Blown on the tracers, not the cap top. This is most dissapointing. How much current was flowing, and from where to let this happen? I can pull the board and replace the componants, but with the same result? Ideas on where to put my leads? other than the obvious? |
