The Rega Apollo pic was pretty tough. You only get a few second window.

I had to take about 30 pics of the record spinnin' due to blurring. That's the only one that came out right.

I could have stopped it, but Jimi playing Voodoo Child shouldn't be interrupted for anything.

Very cool Stu...I'll put some of my old ones on later this weekend. I might even post some of my vintage experiment pics. Right now I'm runnin' a 1977 Kenwood KA3500 with Pinnacle AC 650 speakers. I'm trying my wife's 7 year old Sony DVD player for a source just for the heck of it. Using .39 cent a foot Liberty Cable 16 ga speaker wire and home brew interconnects. It's wild!!!

Love your Bryston pic and ofcourse THE VINYL SOURCE...long live vinyl. Thanks for starting this thread it should be fun.

Stryvn...let it all hang out baby!!!

Nice setup Stu. Musical purist comes to mind.

I've got a few system shots over at the HT bragging spot.

Only real changes since the new TV have been to re-wire everything to get the cables in some semblance of order, and to clear off the stand so that the TV sits alone (I'm easily distracted, what can I say).

Nice setup Stu. What kind of speakers are those? Judging from the slope of the ceiling it looks like you have your listening room up in a loft or a finished attic?

Thanks everyone.

Stephen, I saw your new TV. Very nice. I was going to post over there, but that area gets trolled way too much, and a lot of the regulars over here don't go over there.

David,

Speakers are PSB Image T55. Its a finished attic. I'm so much better off up there. My wife and I have the agreement that I get the attic and do with it what I want, and she gets the rest of the house.

Lets get some more pics!!!

I'm looking to build my own rack. Finding something to model it on is proving difficult. Wife don't like the one I like. This thread will hopefully inspire.

For now gear sits on groovy coffee table of sorts(circa 1977)

The cables thing really is a bit of a bear, especially if the lengths aren't just right, some are quite rigid, etc.

Hey guys.

Love this forum, frequent it all the time. I thought this was a really cool thread (thanks Stu). I just wanted to contribute. This is my very modest system, I wanted to show you all mostly because I'm happy to get to see some of yours (Stu, Nick and counting....). I took extra pics around my space. Comments, opinions and suggestions are always welcome.

I'd greatly appreciate them Marc. This thing is such a pain in the butt to calibrate. I'd have to fine tune them to my room's light levels, but I'm sure the overall quality will be much better. Not that it looks bad at all, but its got so many odd settings.

Send me a PM when you get the chance. Thanks.

Stu, thanks for kicking this off, nice set up.

Nick, again, nice and clean. Cable mess? Wait till you see my cluster-fluck.

Marc, Nice room and really like your rack!

I just spotted this post but will ask if anyone has thought to separate audio from video set ups?

I just changed out gear so I have some tools and stuff to tidy before I post. Otherwise, you will all get to see my room as it is, work in progress.

Love the pics, guys! Very nice setups!

Shoot! I want to get in on this, but I can't at this very moment.

We've been making some house changes for several months and everything is in disorder. I have two of my systems in partial setup just so we have the music. But neither are complete and where they will eventually be setup. Like I said, everything is a mess in here.

Once everything is finished and my systems are relocated and setup properly and completely; I will definately post a bunch of pictures!

Saurabh,

That Densen is an awsome piece of gear. Its really a shame its so scarce here in the States. Densen listed the dealer I heard it at as the US distributer. He only had one integrated amp and CD player on display. He's a great guy and has a great shop. Very knowledgable staff. He wants to be a dealership who can get anyone anything they want. Not a bad idea considering he's 15 miles outside NYC.

If Densen had the distribution here that it has elsewhere, it would undoubtably be a major force here.

Nick, it plays Rush really really well.
Every thing else, too, but Rush just hit home all around.
Loud, strong and solid, excellent pace for such a difficult song like 'subdivisions', from Signals.
'Circumstances' from hemispheres was a little tougher to nail down, but given the beer involved, the speaker were a long walk away to re0point them.
A very strong rock kit.

I have 498 titles on DVD, 1806 titles on CD and 150 LP's. That last number will increase rapidly.

I haven't even taken pics of my wife's office...she has 200 titles on DVD and about 180 titles on CD. I'll putting together her system right shortly like.

Yep, her system will consist of a Kenwood KA 3500 integrated amp, the Sony DVD player(which sounds better in redbook than the Denon DVD2910 by a long shot), a Philips 312 turntable and B&W DM 610i speakers. Quite nice...she will use the Pioneer SX770 receiver as a tuner.

Took apart the Kenwood yesterday and cleaned it out so it sounds great and is noise free...love that little $15 amp.

More impressive is that you handled a tool!

That sounds like a good bit of shopping, Art.
Congratulations!

Have Sher peck your cheek.

Only if you'll take the bills too!!!!

Nuck, I also took apart the Yamaha CR450 and gave it good cleaning...

The Sansui just has too much muck from the smoker who owned it. I took it apart and cleaned the pots and switches but will have Kevin at the Stereo Workshop in Eugene...finish it up.

Thanks guys. The setup is somewhat less than ideal! I hate to look at it.

Art...I love "the office" there. Reminds me of an Uncle of mine who had a record collection as far as the eye could see. Very cool. The kitchen looks great too!

Nick, you're ever in southeastern wisconsin roll down the windows...you might hear em.

Thanks for the kind word, Nuck.

I got Diddley for ya Bo.
No pics, no returns, no kidding.
A pile of black electronic faceplate is all.

It really is quite sad, but the room has to be finished.

Nice pics everyone

Art,

How long have you been collecting your software - just out of curiosity - may be we should start one more thread of.
How long you are in this hobby and your first system ever.

Stu,

I cannot agree more with you, Densen is such fine piece of equipment that it exceeds all my expectations. i have been playing music to such loud levels lately that i never did. You just feel like turning the volume up, as i said on another thread - i am very soon going to pop out my drivers for the Dyns by the looks of it.

Keep coming with the pics everyone.

Cheers

Art-"I have 498 titles on DVD, 1806 titles on CD and 150 LP's. That last number will increase rapidly"

Wholly crap Art. That is wicked. I will have to try and catch you.lol Not likely though. Most guys my age only have 10 or so though, so im doing OK.lol.

Nuck- still want your opinion on NAD.lol.

Saurabh- My first system would be a great thread. Problem is, this is my first system.lol.

Stryvn- I was in Wisconsin just last summer playing in the World Jr NAFA Fastball championships. Really cold...watered down beer.lol That is ok I still love your speakers. I was going to buy the Studio 60's until I found a mint pair of Studio Monitors(models that became the studio 100's) I am content for now, but I am sure they have improved the Studio series ten times over in the last 11 years.Cheers. P.S. I want some.

Nick,

If you were drinking really cold watered down beer you were hangin' around the wrong people, dude. If you ever make it back, look me up. Stryvn in the phone book.

I was going to build this for the components. I was thinking curly maple and cherry or curly maple and walnut. The wife said she don't like it.

LOL Stryvn, will do. It was 3.5 percent alcohol. Probably was the wrong people.

By the way that component cabinet is really nice. What about a audio rack. This is the newer version on mine http://www.audio-video-furniture.com/Sanus-NF206-Natural-Furniture-6-Shelf-Audio -Stand.htm

I kinda like this one for the price too, could be too cheap though.

Or are you looking for the whole cabinet? WAF.lol.

That's very nice Stryvn. I think my wife would like it so you're welcome to still build it . I

I started to rebuild my library about 7 years ago.

Just did listening tests with the Pinnacle AC650's vs the B&W DM610i's and the Pinnacles killed the B&W's. It wasn't even close. The Pinnacles are the most neutral speaker that I've had....now the wifes wants them....
