My phillips HDD1630 will not communicate with my pc, when it is not connected it says on the screen to connect to pc and only the power button will work. When i connect to the computer it shows a connection has been made but the Phillips device manager does not show a connection. When I find it under usb connections in the computers device manager it shows it there as a mass storage device, so basically my computer sees the connection and the mp3 player sees the conection but they will not comunicate. I've tried all the tips on the Phillips web site downloaded a patch that did not work and i'm still at square one. Any ideas? This happened about 3 months out of warranty.
