My Dual 505-2 is slow to get up to full speed. Sometimes it needs a helping hand. When up to speed it operates fine. Is this a belt or motor problem?
Any advice?

.

When was the last time you changed the belt? Did any maintenance on the deck, such as cleaning the belt and subplatter?

I haven't serviced it in any way. I inherited it about 12 months ago, so I'm not sure about its previous maintenance. It worked fine to begin with and I haven't overused it since. Can you recommend any do-it-yourself maintenance?
Thanks
Dave

Place "dual turntable page" into search engine. This is a site that specializes in Dual but my bookmarks aren't working at the moment so you'll have to find it yourself.
