. Uh, it looks just like every NAD integrated amplifier that has been built for the last thirty years. What makes it "look like a nice little amp"? |

"Uh, it looks just like every NAD integrated amplifier that has been built for the last thirty years. What makes it "look like a nice little amp"?" You could *@*#ing look and see for yourself. But I'll help you out. For starters, because it just like every NAD ... It's actually much smaller, though, so if you are looking for a modest amp for a bedroom etc system, it fits better. That is, if you want an amp that might actually fit on a bookshelf to go with your bookshelf speakers. |

Low profile like the Rega, Naim, and Bryston integrated. I like the look of the older NAD integrated's and this reminds me more of them than their more recent releases. I didn't say that it looked like it sounds good Jan...lol! |

Cute? The neighbors baby is 'cute'.A puppy is 'cute'. WTF would we call anything if we didn't have 'cute'? The specs say a 'conservative' 40w, and a headroom of 100w, with the factory(!) Vigne, watch the language! |

Small things are often referred to as 'cute' - big things aren't. Babies and puppies etc fit into the 'small things' category. FYI that's the first time I've used the word 'cute' in ages! |

With a name like NAD, they might not care. Anyone heard any news on this? Earlier in the year there was talk of announcing it as available in the US at CEDIA. |

Well, I can't figure out how to edit a post, so here's another. It doesn't seem as small as I'd thought, given that they have this imaginary concept called "net dimensions" that doesn't include all the parts that are attached to it ... Net Dimensions (W x H x D) Gross Dimensions (W x H x D)* Net Weight Shipping Weight Gross Dimensions include volume knob / speaker terminals / connectors / feet. Note: Installers should allow a minimum clearance of 2 - 4 inches for wire management. Net Dimensions: 17 1/8 x 2 3/4 x 9 1/2” (435 x 70 x 242mm) Gross Dimensions: 17 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 11 1/2” (435 x 80 x 292mm) Gross Dimensions include volume knob / speaker terminals / connectors / feet. |

But it is indeed a handsome fellow! Just like Art said it looks more like the older models. But why did they change the color of the power button with their models the last couple of years? I liked that green button much better. And is it my imagination or did they change the hue of the grey a bit? With recent models the grey color seems more balanced towards (an ordinary) black-grey compared to previous models which had a more distinctive and much more appealing blueish grey tone. Oh well, I may need to calibrate the colors of my computer screen... |

Yes, the battleship grey colour seems to resemble black now and I'm with you on the green power button, it was distinctive and quite cool IMO. |

"And is it my imagination or did they change the hue of the grey a bit? I actually spoke with NAD concerning updates on the 2-channel line. I didn't get any information on that, but I did ask about the change in color. I was told all products now will be in the black(ish)color, the grey is going away. I don't know why, as it will look a lot like many other companies products. Perhaps it was the best they could due as I don't see them putting on 1/4" thick aluminum face plates. |

It has been very favourably reviewed just recently in HiFi News. Admittedly, Ken Kessler reviewed it so when he says it's a giant killer of epic proportions, it just means it might be a bit good...and might even be bad, given Ken's preference for things that don't time... I get the impression it is a little slimmer than the 325BEE though. Regards, Frank. |

I find many reviewers spend far too much time discussing how much power and drive a NAD amp has at its relative price point. I'd rather read about the sonic signature, tonal accuracy, and ability to reproduce music with integrity. And for this manufacturer and every other, I'm always interested in what makes this product different. What's new under the hood, architecturally speaking. What were they trying to accomplish with this amp that they hadn't accomplished before. IE why come out with a new model at all ? I guess that's why Stereomojo is my favorite place to read reviews. Their web site is horrible to navigate (although a new one is coming), but I really like the content. And, it's where you can get information on brands a little off the beaten path (ie not Rega, NAD, Naim, CA, etc) which are well hidden gems sometimes. |

Hey Frank, I don't think what most of them divulge are secrets. Most reviewers pop the top and have access to the guts anyway. I just find it interesting to read about what they see. I don't understand much of it entirely, that's for sure, but it's still interesting. And you'd think a manufacturer would be more than glad to talk about their own product, but hey, maybe I'm just talkin' crazy again. |

I have a 35 W + 35 W (at 8 ohms) floor standing Rank Wharfedale speakers. They have a 12 inch woofer , 5 inch mid range and 1 inch dome tweeter. Will the NAD 315 BEE drive it? |
