Thread: Denon AVR3805 I need setup help please |

I just installed a new AVR3805 and cannot get the remote speakers (Zone2) to operate using Satellite, Cd or any input source. I have run through the manual atleast 6 times and checked everything. Can someone help please?
I know I'm missing something simple and stupid.

Kirk, did you have a load to the 2nd zone on the setup?
The receiver expects a load. |

I used to have an AVR 2800 which has a second set of speaker connections. We used these to drive our deck speakers and basement speakers through a Monster swtch box. I connected the AVR 3805 with the speaker connections for the Zone 2 to the Monster box. Wouldn't the speakers be the load?
What exactly do you mean by a load?

What or how do I actually turn Zone 2 on? I did exaclty as the manual says and tried inputting different sources. Is there a chance the internal second amp is responding? The unit was new. |

Are you using analog RCA inputs from your source to Zone 2? Optical or digital do not work for zone 2 in my Denon, only RCA. |

My DVD is RCA inputs and it doesn't work. I'll try the CD with RCA as it is Optical now.
