So i just ordered a brand new Bravia 46" 1080p LCD flatscreen and although I love my Marantz Receiver (circa 2001) it does not have the video upconversion that I'm looking for. I'm looking for a $500-$1000 receiver that will handle the HDMI switching and upconversion well enough for me to enjoy the goodness of my new TV. I've been looking into the Onkyo TX-SR674 but i've read a few reviews that say it runs really hot...i don't know why but that makes me really nervous. I'm really looking for any and all recommendations on a good receiver for the Home Theatre. I also listen to music through the receiver but it's usually MP3 based so we're not even close to audiophile quality here anyway. Any and all comments are welcome...thanks!
