I have a Sony str-av770x receiver, hooked it up to speakers and a new sub-woofer. During the dance last night the sub-woofer was vibrating and the wires touched causing the protector mode to kick in. I think I've checked all of the fuses, but can't find any that have blown. I don't have the manual any more. Any suggestions as to how to get this protector mode off and it back up and working again? Any help is appreciated.
Start by unplugging the receiver from the AC outlet for about one hour. If that doesn't resolve the problem, you can try contacting Sony through their web site but it will be simpler to take the unit in for service.
