so i was looking around at my parents sound system and they have a surprising nice dual subwoofer. it called "sonance DL1000" it has a 10" front fire and a 12" downfire in a single box. but i'm wondering if it has a built in amplifier or not. i tried looking up info about it but all i found was history of sonance haha and that it was made in around 1995. if anyone has any other info about it that'd be awesome |

Matt, does it have an external heat sink and external controls? That would be the first hint. And why not ask your parents? It is theirs, after all. |

Matt, this a powered sub. How much will you offer your parents for it? |

Do you have it plugged into an electrical outlet and turned on? |

no there is no phase. and i even unscrewed it and hooked up the two positive and negatives to a small amp i have in my house and both subs hit (10" front fire 12" downfire) although it sounded as if the 12" went though a low pass filter and was only producing lower frequencies. there was only one pair of outputs going to both subs |
