Hello,
I'm planning to buy a new amplifier for my Canton CD250 (2 x front) with subwoofer AS100SC.
I don't know which amplifier I have to choose.
1. Cambridge Audi, Azur 740A
2. Rotel RA-06
3. Marantz 7001KI.
My speakers are not so tall/big. Which amplifier gives the clearest sound?
I hope someone can help me with advice?

The Cambridge.
That's not to say which amp is the best but it does answer your question. I would drop the Marantz from consideration as it isn't in the same league as the other two.
It's up to you which sound you prefer between the Cambridge and the Rotel. |

At which other points differ the Cambridge from the Rotel?
Or is the difference so little that you cannot hear the difference. Both amplifiers costs about 750 euro.
When I buy a new stereo amplifier I want to enjoy it for at least 10 years, but I want the "best" for a maximum price of 800 euro ! |

I can hear the difference but as I said before it's up to you to decide which sound is best for you. Since I know absolutely nothing about the purpose that you are buying this amp for I will have to leave it at that. |

Ok, what points are important for me:
1. Clear sound.
2. Very good synthesis with speaker and subwoofer.
3. Full sound, because I have relatively small
speakers (resonance box !!!)
I don't listen to classic music, but I love to hear Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppeling (Stairways to Heaven), Iron Maiden, Dire Straits and also (Hard)Trance.
Music where you can shiver from when there's playing a guitar, fine hi-hats and drum, vocal/voice.
I hope I can find a dealer who has both amplifiers so I can hear them closely after each other. |
