I am only couple of hours away from this important event. The product I wanna hear is Marten Design Coltrane Supreme Speakers ($250,000 a pair).

Remastered or Original version? Haha you should (have brought) bring a pure bass CD to see if they can belt out the 20hz

I am sure they can. They don't have six 9" bass drivers just for cosmetics u know.

That's the surface area of a 22-inch woofer in case you didn't calculate that.

It's easier to control smaller drivers. There are 2000 Watt mono amplifiers in each subwoofer cabinets...

333 1/3 watt a driver should mean (at the average sensitivity of a 9-inch woofer) a max output of: 120dB give or take

Yeah that's true...^^^

For
$2,000 could get you 6 10" drivers of that quality... and then $800 for the stereo amp that could power it with 2500w each channel...that's around $2500-3000 for each sub... and then similar quality in the mains may make a system cost (including crossovers etc.) of around $10k...but $250k? Outrageous, but fun.
