I have a second-hand KX-R1000 receiver that I figure is about 12 years old. It's not a bad piece of equipment and has served me well. Up until lately, that is. Within the last week or so while watching TV it just switches over from "Video 1" input (my TV input) to CD. Of course this means that I lose the sound and have to switch it back to Video 1. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Usually happens about every hour or so. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I changed the batteries in the remote thinking maybe the batteries were toast and making the remote do strange things. That wasn't it. Is this a sign that the Kenwood is ready for the retirement home?
