i never really heard the sound from a luxman amp, but heard a lot of reviews though..
are their tubes good or amps in general.. can they be compared to denon or yamaha in terms of sound quality or price range.. or are they just mediocre.... opinions much appreciated...

Luxman was always a high quality line until it was bought and sold about four times. Luxman is similar now to Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. When buying an amplifier (integrated) or a receiver, always ask the salesperson if it has discrete outputs. If they cannot answer, you are in the wrong place. Most Japanese electronic companies sell two lines, one for the chain, mass merchant stores, and one for the audio store. Examples: Sony and Sony ES, Onkyo and Integra, Kenwood and Excelon, Pioneer and Elite, Circuitry which makes a difference include dual monaural, dual power supplies, or high current (as in discrete outputs which can play lower impedances as it shifts during music play through most dynamic speakers). Always opt for "discrete outputs (transistor) as opposed to an integrated circuit. P.
