I have always liked my 04 Paradigm Studio 5's V3 mainly because the modern driver materials provide fatigure free sound with very little distortion. The only real drawbacks, being mindful of the $600 price, are no sub-woofer territory bass performance and I the midrange is lacking. BUT BUT BUT - I am giving them ONE more chance (even though they are listed on AUDIOGON). So today I ordered a NEW set of cables: WireWorld Solstice 5.2 to replace my StraightWire Symphony and Sextett. I'll see if the midrange culprit has indeed been either of the cables Or if it's just Paradigms price point.
Either way, if this doesn't pan out, I have fallen in love with the new Paradigm Monitor 9 v5's -- but I'm such a pinchpenny!Upload
