Hey all, I have a samsung av-r610 receiver here hooked up to my tv. I only have 3 speakers and the sub hooked up to it so far. It's barely being used and it's only 2-3 mths old and it was bought brand new. When I try to power it on, the speakers make some crackling noice, the receiver flashes PROTECTION and it goes back in to standby. Any ideas on how to fix this and whats going on? is this receiver garbage already? Thanks |

Johnny, disconnect all the wires from it and try again. If you want to shop again, come back here. We have links to HK receivers for under 200 bucks. |

I have disconnected everything from the receiver and it still doesen't power up. The receiver itself smells like something burned. Should I pop it open and look for something? Any help would be appreciated. The amp was just sitting in standyby, i'm not sure what the hell happened. |
