Anyone know what could be causing this? I turned on my receiver this morning and got the "Amp Err" message flashing in my face, then my receiver turns off and won't turn back on. I reset the power strip and turned it back on, tried the receiver, same thing. After waiting 15-20 minutes I tried again and this time my receiver stays on but no sound. I tried different modes (Digital, Analog, 5.1, stereo, etc) and nothing. My home theatre system has been configured the same way for a few years now so it's not a wiring issue. My Receiver is an RCA 5.1 Receiver, purchased about 3 years ago. (I'm not sure on the specific model since I'm not at home). |

It most likely needs servicing or replacement. In the case of an RCA I'd recommend a replacement... not RCA. |

Remove all input and output wires from the unit and try again. |

Kano, Pioneer used to make the Optimus home electronics line, with the exception of speakers (at least that was what I heard from multiple people). I wonder is RCA makes their own receivers, or farms it out to a company. |
