Hello, I just set up a new HSU VTF-2 Mk-2 sub last night and have no idea how to calibrate. They supplied a cd of classical and test tones provided by the Boston Audio Society. I played the cd, but have no clue what to do from here. Thanks in advance for your help! |

By Ear? OR march down to Radio Shackup, buy the Analogue SPL meter, and send off to Rives Audio for there CD which has test tones biased for that meter! Than drive yourself nuts with sub positioning, phase, port plugs in/out (on VTF-2 sub?) x-over fequency, gain, and than all the buttons and knobs on the Source end. That should be about half a million combinations/permutations. Try it by ear, first, giving it a reasonable listen between adjustments. You'll eventually find a sweet-spot. |
