I'm currently running all polk. rti10 fronts, fxi5 rears, psw505 subwoofer and monitor 30's for 6th channel.

I have a cs2 polk center. but I want something a little more powerful.

is there a speaker company known for just their center channel?

Whajja mean "more powerful"? Isn't the center speaker you have capable of playing as loud as the fronts?

I want something that sounds more present. This is the most important speaker so I want something with more presence

I like MartinLogan, at least what I heard in store, but it's probably too expensive and it's 4-ohm impedance may be too much for your receiver.

This B&W sounded nice in store as well. http://www.bwspeakers.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/products.models/label/Model%20HTM 1D

Again, I don't know of any bargain center channels, because this one is WAY too expensive (and too heavy, at over 200 pounds) probably. Sorry, I probably wasn't of much help.

This might be better. http://www.audioreview.com/b-and-w/PRD_130198_2743crx.aspx

Along with this, for extension.

Of course, you may not be willing to spend $1000 for a center channel system.

Jim,

have you heard the Polk CSi5? It is a very good speaker and will match very well with your fronts.

NHT AC2. Wont match your mains, but that doesnt sound like a priority to you? I could be wrong though. They are hard to find, but occasionally found on Audiogon, or ebay for around 4-600.00, it performs incredible, clear, and accurate for HT, with a pretty wide sweet spot as well.

If your wanting to match (which by the way, is the best configuration w/o argument I think) You might look into upgrading the front three, and using your mains for surrounds?
