Hi, I just began to upgrade my home theater. My room is 12 X 18. I had a Denon AVR 1505/485 and Denon SYS 65HT for speakers. I use it about 85% for cinema and 15% for music. I changed my receiver for a HK AVR 445 and now I have 2 options for the new speakers. Option 1 - Paradigm ------------------- Center : CC190 Left/Right : Monitor7 V5 Surround (2): Atom Monitor Sub : PDR10 Total 1692 CAN$ Option 2 - Klipsch ------------------ Center : RC52 Left/Right : RB51 Surround (2): RB10 Sub : RPW10 Total 1422 CAN$ My questions : - How do these look like ? - Should I go with 4 surrounds ? - Are there some of them that should be replaced or upgraded Any suggestion and comment is more than welcomed Thank you Charles |

Charles, what is missing with the Denon speaker kit? What do you want to improve? |

Hi, Hard for me to describe it in english because I'm french speaking but the sound is not well defined, there is no "color" and definition. It's like "flat". Charles |

Charles, sorry about the English as a second language thing, it is stupid enough as a first language. You really MUST listen to each of these speaker brands(at least brands) to get a feeling for them. Speakers vary wildly, in performance and expectations via a receiver. Both speakers you list can be driven easily by you new receiver, but the receiver will only shine when you decide on the polish. You should include a good player for the system, and you might consider that first. A cd player is often better, a DVD that does music well is more money. Look into OPPO for a cdp. Quebec? |

Hi, I will listen to then on friday. The dealer doesn't sell HK. They have Denon, Yamaha, Sony, Marantz. Is there a receiver that would sound like the HK in those to help me make a choice ? I dont't know OPPO. Is there a specific model I should look at ? Yes I'm from Quebec ;) Thank you Charles |
