I have an xbox 360 connected to my Sony STR-DA3000ES 7.1 channel digital receiver's DVD input using compnent video/fiber optic audio cables. Everything is fine when I watch a DVD. I get full digital sound from all sound fields (e.g., Dolby Digital, PL, PL II, Sony's fields, etc.); however when I listen to a CD in the xbox or when I stream music from my pc through the xbox I get the same audio from all the channels except the sub (from which I get none!).
Any ideas why? |

Have you tryed different surround programs? |

Thanks. I had to have the Sony serviced after a month, but since then it has been great.
As far as the different surround programs, I've tried them all and they all are the same. Thats what I meant by sound fields...I guess I used the wrong term.
