Do you think that a setup is better with floor standing mains or do you think that 4 surrounds on stands plus center and sub would give off the better soundstage? In example the X-CS 5.1 package http://www.av123.com/products_product.php?section=speakers&product=93.1 and the X-LS package http://www.av123.com/products_product.php?section=speakers&product=92.1 or would it be better to get floorstanding mains instead?? Primary use: Home theater |

Go here: http://speakers.lifetips.com/cat/61236/tower-speakers-and-book-shelf-speakers/in dex.html There are more arguments to be had, but it all boils down to what YOU like |

AB, the xls series will be released as floorstanders quite soon. But I was quoted 220 for the xls and 119 for their mass loadable stands. If they are as good as I read, start with a pair for a tryout? If you like them, get 2 floorstanders in a while to augment them? |

So these speakers would be good for both HT and music? I read the link Berny gave me. It provided good info. I must say that I wouldn't get all surrounds without getting a sub. Would you put your floorstanders up on small stands in order to get them off the floor a little bit? |
