Bought a used Nad 541i cd player from a friend and hooked it up with RCA wires and the Peak Indicator light comes on. Will it hurt anything if ignore it. It sounds way better using the DAC's in the player than the receiver.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob, the player likely has more output voltage than the receiver expects. The receiver should not have an issue with this, and the indicator is not a protection indicator.
Maybe try the aux in, these are often more flexable than cd.

Thank you Nuck, I'll give that a try.
