WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

Well you see I've got these stupid Bose speakers in my room right now and I've noticed they can't handle much at all. I'm playing one of my favorite "Disturbed" songs and all of the sudden EEEERGH EERRRGH annoying distortion so I turn it down. I noticed that at this lower level, first of all, it's not very loud, and second, the dynamics just aren't there because of the limiter kicking in. I've left it turned up to the max before distortion. I'm guessing that after that point the limiter can't limit anymore and it enters heavy distortion. There's like no bass.

I need a good pair of stereo speakers that can take around 80w of bass and still not separate the sound because all the snap and clearness that used to be there is gone. Is there a good pair for around $50 that'll get loud and still be clean sounding? I know these Bose can't do it unles I take their amplifier and throw it out substituting for a 100000 watt amplifier to blow their little 2 inch drivers out.

Wow. 1050 posts in 2 months. Shouldn't you spend SOME time at school. I was going to tell you how childish and immature that post was, but then I checked your profile and realized that you were just a child. I can also tell from this post that you have never actually heard a pair of BOSE speakers. Now, go to bed little boy.

OK Andre, I have a little time now, maybe I can help.
1-More power will probably only do damage.
2-Assuming it is your speakers distorting & not your amp clipping, you need higher efficiency speakers for greater output with your existing amp. A great Hi Fi loudspeaker engineer (Paul Klipsh) once said "what this world needs is a great loudspeaker design and a good 5 what amplifier" You won't find much for $50 unless you get a good deal on used speakers or use a simple box design program and drivers from a discount catalog.
Good Luck
