I have a Bose Lifestyle system that is about 4 years old. I just heard a DVD-audio disc by the Beatles (Love) and I was totally amazed by the sound. I bought the DVD-audio at amazon and it plays in the 5.1 format on my Bose system, and this sounds at least twice as good as the regular CD version, but still not as good as the full DVD-audio system that I heard at a party over the weekend.

I love the Bose Lifestyle system and can't justify getting rid of it yet, but could I connect a DVD-audio player to it and play it through the system? If so would I then be able to play it in it's full capacity?

no, because the speakers do not reach high enough into the treble, and low enough into the bass IMHO

as far as playing DVD audio to full capacity with bose
