I am new to the live audio game and I just bought what appears to be home made cabinets. I have two-speaker cabinets. In each is two 15" subs, and two tweeters. on the back of each sub it say 8? (8ohms) The person I bought them off of was not much help as he had recently acquired them from a relative. he said they are 1000w max.

My main ??? is if the two subs are 8? and there is only one audio jack on the back and a crossover in the box which amp do i need to power these. I have found amps that power 250w at 8ohms cont. is that enough power?? can you under power?? or will it just not be loud?

any help will be appreciated.
