Hi,
I’m a newbie here in need of speakers. I have an older (12 or 13 years) Onkyo receiver (TX-SV717PRO). The manual says “it incorporates the Digital Dolby Pro Logic Surround Circuit”. At this point I am not too interested in a surround system…I use it mainly for playing cd’s. Loud. The manual says it puts out 110W/Channel in stereo mode. I am looking at a pair of Paradigm Monitor 9’s and PDR-12 sub:

1. Do I have enough receiver to drive these and get a good, clean, loud sound? Any opinions on Paradigm speakers?
2. Does anybody know if I can even plug this sub into my receiver?
3. I may want to go surround some day. Am I going to need to upgrade my receiver at that point?
